What are the steps for booking?
You must submit a passenger demographic form here. Your cabin cannot be booked unless this information is received.
What documents do I need to sail?
US Citizens:
- A valid passport expiring after June 20, 2021, is highly recommended in case you need to fly back from one of the ports of call or join the cruise ship in its next port.
- OR:
- Official Birth Certificate and a supporting Government Issued Photo ID, like a driver’s license or a state identity card. (Must be REAL-ID compliant.)
It is important that the name on your reservation be exactly as it is stated on your passport or other official proof of nationality. If your name has changed since your document was issued (e.g., marriage or divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document (e.g., a state, county or province issued marriage license, divorce decree or legal name change document) of the name change. All documents must be the original or a notarized copy. Additionally, if you are using an identification (e.g., driver’s license) and a citizenship document ( e.g., birth certificate), then BOTH documents must match the name on your reservation. Otherwise, it may result in delay or possible denial of boarding.
Non-US Citizens: Non-US Citizens will require a passport and the necessary visa for entry into the United States. If you require a visa to enter the USA, it will need to be multiple-entry. You should also verify if you need any visas for the ports visited if you are a cruise passenger (often more lenient entry requirements than if you were arriving by airplane).
It is the responsibility of each passenger to verify their documents are valid for sailing and to verify any visa requirements for the USA and for the cruise destinations if they are not US Citizens. Please visit https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/topics/travel-documents for more information.
Itinerary

*RCCL reserves the right to alter the itinerary for safety or logistical reasons.
*You must be onboard the ship 2 hours before departure, otherwise you may be denied boarding. Please plan your arrival at either FLL or MIA airports accordingly.
When should I arrive at the airport? When should I depart?
RCCL advises the following:
Embarkation:
- Do not book flights arriving LATER than 12pm at Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) on Dec 13
- Do not book flights arriving LATER than 1pm at Miami International Airport (MIA) on Dec 13
Disembarkation:
- Do not book flights departing EARLIER than 12pm from FLL on December 20
- Do not book flights departing EARLIER than 11am from MIA on December 20
It is my strong recommendation to arrive in Fort Lauderdale or Miami the evening before as winter storms can cause extreme travel delays.
Are there activities with the group already reserved?
- There will be seminars on each at-sea day (three days total), on Deck 3 of the ship. You will be informed of the exact conference room before departure.
- A cocktail party and its location will be announced closer to sailing.
How do I view excursions and other ship-specific activities?
After your cabin is reserved, I will email you your cruise reservation number. You will be able to go to https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked and pull up your booking to check your daily cruise schedule and make any optional reservations or purchases. This is not mandatory before departure but can be useful.
Do you recommend any hotels near the port?
Hotel recommendations will be updated here.
What is included in my cruise?
Please visit: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/cruise-vacation-price for the full list.
What is NOT included?
- Onboard gratuities or “onboard service charges” are automatically applied to your shipboard account by RCCL and will be charged to your credit card on file on the day of disembarkation. For a 7 day cruise the cost is $105.50 per person. If you would like to prepay these before departure let me know and I can add them to your booking.
- Any optional services such as: alcoholic drinks, spa appointments, excursions, specialty dining.
How does Main Dining Room seating work at dinner?
Group dining is at 8pm; however, if you would like an early dining seating of 5:15pm please email me and I can request this for you, subject to availability.
Dining is arranged “round robin style”: The first night you will have an assigned table and then for the other 6 nights you will be able to choose your seat from a specific grouping of tables, all with other seminar participants and guest.
Where can I find out more about the ship?
The Allure of the Seas was the world’s biggest ship at time of inauguration and is one of the most-awarded ships currently at sea today. You can learn all about her here: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/allure-of-the-seas
I’d like a second cabin for a friend or a family member. How can I book it so that they can also dine with us or be close to my cabin location?
I can send you a quote for any additional cabins you need and link your cabins within the group. Please contact me directly for your specific request. Note that these passengers would be cruise-only passengers and would not be attending the seminars onboard; please contact Toms Trading Group instead of me if you have friends who want to be in the actual seminar program.
I would like to upgrade my cabin or have questions about cruising.
Your participation in Tom’s Partner Cruise includes one cabin for up to two travelers; if you would like to upgrade to a different cabin category please contact me for an individual quote.
I am only one person in a cabin, don’t I get a discount?
No, cruise ships charge per cabin, not per person. We do not receive any fare discounts for solo travelers.
I am not sure yet if I am bringing a guest. Can I add a person to my cabin at a later date?
Yes, but be aware if the ship is full they will not book more than the number of lifeboat spots available. If you try to add someone to your cabin too late, the cruiseline has the right to say they cannot take more passengers, even if there is an empty bed in your cabin.
What about travel insurance?
Travel insurance is highly recommend for your flights during winter travel. You can obtain a quote here.
